ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH IN DISTRICT NGABANG - WEST KALIMANTAN RETURNING ABOUT PRINCIPLES TITHE BASED LEVITICUS 27:30 Researcher Name : Tamba, Gerbin Name and Title : M.Fil Supervisor Material : DR.Bartholomew Diaz Nainggolan, MPS. End date : Marc,16,2016 The most fundamental theological presuppositions of tithing is that God is the legal owner and that the only One of all. The Lord does give flexibility to humans to harness and develop what is in us , but it did not mean a shift in property rights. Meaning of "manager" is parallel with the word "stewardship." The term of "stewardship" property rights is God, and man is only a manager, namely the so-called "caretaker" in policies and actions of believers in managing talent a gift from God as co-workers God in this world with the Holy Spirit. Stewardship is a lifestyle (or exemplary life) of someone who accepts the divinity of Christ which runs in partnership with the Lord. The word "tithe" was first raised in the Bible in Leviticus 27:30, which reads as follows : And all the tithe of the land , whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree , is the LORD,s ; it is holy unto the LORD. Tithing became a liaison stretch, though the materials structure belongs to God. We need to rethink the understanding of tithing not only about one tenth but of the multiplication of ten only. God has given his special time when He redeemed man likewise received his tithing if they returned it to his desired time. God asks the gifts made it the specified time, so irregular that an act of faith in giving it became a habit, and give will be perceived as an obligation of every Christian. Based on data above, on the numbers achieving the implementation the return of tithes to the treasury of the Lord in the Seventh-day Adventist Church-Ngabang District of West Kalimantan in order to confirm and guarantee the presence of God, as something holy to God is based on Leviticus 27:30, requires serious attention. Hence the principle of tithing returns based on Leviticus 27:30, against, competence in the understanding of the principle of stewardship church members tithing as something holy to the Lord to be handed into his repertory (X1), competence in implementation (X2) and competence in exemplary (X3 , to find answers to the purpose of this paper on the results of this research analysis were performed in three parts as follows: First, In the variable X1 is, in the results of statistical tests on the quality level of understanding of the principles of stewardship church members tithing as something holy to the Lord to be handed into his repertory based on Leviticus 27:30 in Ngabang District of West Kalimantan, produce an answer (total mean) or the score was 1.64 or just 41%. This means that the answer to the quality level of understanding of respondents are not agree or do not understand it. Second, In variable X2, the results of statistical tests on the quality level of the application of the principle of stewardship church members tithing as something holy to the Lord to be handed into his repertory based on Leviticus 27:30 in Ngabang District of West Kalimantan, find answers (total mean) or the score was 1.67, or only 41.75%. This means that the answer to the quality level of understanding of respondents are not agree or do not implement them. Third, In variable X3 is, in the results of statistical tests on the quality level of the church members about the principles of exemplary return the tithe as something holy to the Lord to be handed into his repertory based on Leviticus 27:30 in Ngabang District of West Kalimantan, find answers (total mean) or the score was 1:59 or only 39.75%. This means that the response at the level of quality is exemplary of respondents disagreed or did not follow suit. So from a statistical descriptive test results in response to the identification of problems (variable Y), it is known that, Understanding Analysis Seventh-day Adventist Church Ngabang District - West Kalimantan, Returns About Tithing Principle Based on Leviticus 27:30, it found the average yield throughout the study ( mean total variable) with a score is 1.63, or 40.75%. That is the average respondent's answer is not to agree, that does not understand, does not apply and has no exempary or not ideals.
