HASIL PENGUKURAN SUHU TUBUH ANTARA TERMOMETER AIR RAKSA DAN DIGITAL AXILLA PADA PASIEN DEWASA DEMAM DI RUMAH SAKIT ADVENT BANDUNG

ABSTRACT RESULTS OF MEASUREMENT OF BODY TEMPERATURE WITH GLASS MERCURY THERMOMETER AND DIGITAL AXILLA ON ADULT PATIENTS AT BANDUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL Andi P. Silaban NIM: 1451021 In others studies conducted by previous researchers about comparing the result of axilla temperature measurement, there is a variety result ranging from having a significant and an insignificant difference. The purpose of this research is to compare the body’s temperature using a glass mercury thermometer and digital axilla on adult patients at Bandung Adventist Hospital. Comparative quantitative with two groups independent t-test was used to determine the difference. Samples are chosen using convenience sampling technique. The sample in this study consists 22 people. The data was collected by using a mercury thermometer and axilla digital thermometer on the right axilla of each sample. The data was calculated by using Independent t-test. The results show that the significance (2-tailed) of the statistical Independent T-test results is 0,553. The temperature of the body by using mercury thermometer and digital axilla is 38,6682 ± 0,58585 and 38,5636 ± 0,57366 respectively. The conclusion obtained is that the result of the measurement of body temperature between a mercury thermometer and a digital thermometer has no significant difference. The results of this study may allow for subsequent research to use in group controlled and in grouping types of diseases.
