ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF STUDENTS BY WASHING IN PRIMARY SCHOOL PARENT PARONGPONG WEST BANDUNG Robet Setiawan NIM: 1051063 Hand washing is a hygienic behavioral culture. Indonesian people's behavior in terms of hand washing with soap is still low. Indonesian people's behavior in terms of hand washing with soap is still low. The general purpose of this study is to see the relationship between the level of knowledge of elementary school students Advent Parongpong West Bandung about washing hands by washing hands. The method used in this research is descriptive correlative method by observation to describe the level of knowledge of second grade students of Advent Parongpong Bandung West Bandung about washing hands by washing hands. The respondents of this research are the 2nd graders of elementary school where 20 people. The research instrument is a handwashing test in the form of multiple choice questions used to determine the level of respondents' knowledge and statements used to observe handwashing methods taken from the Ministry of Health. Processing data in this research is processed by using formula percentage. And to calculate the relationship between the knowledge level and how to wash the hands with the correlation formula. The results showed that students 'wash knowledge was knowledgeable, and how to wash students' hands showed a fairly regular hand washing. The relationship between the level of knowledge and how to wash hands is weak, indicating there is no correlation to the word. Suggestions that can be given is to increase knowledge by always reminding students about the need to wash hands. For further research, can be developed menggunkan number of respondents more, and become other supporting data seen from different cases. Keywords: Knowledge, Method, Washing hands
