ABSTRACT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAMILY SUPPORT TO QUALITY OF ELDERLY LIFE IN THE WORKING REGION OF PUSKESMAS PARONGPONG WEST BANDUNG DISTRICT PAULINA PASARIBU NIM : 1351008 Based on the results of interviews of researchers on health cadres in the working area of Parongpong Community Health Center, it was found that many families in the area had elderly family members but the families lacked support for the quality of life of the elderly. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support to the quality of life of the elderly. The research design used in this research is descriptive research method that is analytic or correlational. The research was conducted in the working area of Parongpong Community Health Center, West Bandung district on 28-30 April 2017. Sampling used in this research is Purposive Sampling. The number of samples in this study is 50 peoples. Data were collected using a family support questionnaire and the quality of life of the elderly, each of which consisted of 46 questions that had been tested for validation and reliability. Data that has been collected and then processed by calculating the average and person product moment. The results show that family support is enough with an average value of 52.20 and the quality of life of the elderly is very good with an average value of 84.54. Correlation calculation results show that there is a significant relationship of family support to the quality of life of elderly in the working area of puskesmas Parongpong, West Bandung district with pvalue 0.602 at 95% confidence level or α = 0,05.
