ABSTRACK CHANGE OF BLOOD PRESSURE AS A RESPONSE TO FEET-DIPPING HYDROTHERAPY USING WARM WATER ON STAGE I HYPERTENSION WOMEN Hotnida Elisabet Hutajulu NIM: 1351046 Treatment of hypertension at home was found to be less. Simple actions and treatments can help maintain blood pressure. Soaking warm water make decrease blood pressure in 15 minutes, once a day for 5 days. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of foot soak with warm water influence systolic and diastolic blood pressure adult women with stage 1 hypertension. The method in this study is pre-experiment using one group pre test-post test design. The population in this study is women aged 40-60 years and as many as 20 people selected by purposive sampling as respondents. The results showed a decrease in mean values of systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after soaking feet with warm water for 5 days. Test statistic paired t-test and Wilcoxon showed a significant decrease (α <.005). So, the concluded that soak feet with warm water make decrease blood pressure in women suffering from warm water lower blood pressure in women with stage 1 hypertension. The results of this study can be used as one of nursing intervention to handle hypertension and for research in medical to be developed for sources of information. keyword: Feet-dipping, Hypertension, Warm water
