ABSTRACT Title : ANALYSIS OF THE INVOLUEMENT OF THE AGAPE BALIKPAPAN SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH MEMBERS IN DOING THE MISSION OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH BASED ON THE PHILOSHOPY OF MATTHEW 28:19,20 THROUGHT LITERATURE. Research : BINER SITUMORANG Advisor : Dr.Bartholomeus D.Nainggolan, MPS Finish Date : May 14,2018 School : Indonesia Adventist University Responding to the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19,20, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” The author responding with joy to carry out the task of preaching the gospel through literature. Evangelism is the task of all believers to preach the good news in Christ to this world, where all believers are created to serve the gospel, saved to preach the gospel. Which could be realizing in literary materials like sharing, owning treatise, magazines and books. God is calling the workers from each church to join His work in evangelism. The work that is very important at this time, disseminates publications throughout the world, although for many years guidance has been given to print and distribute books through the pen of Ellen G. White, in this advice circulating books containing the truth in lift parallel to the ministry of evangelists through literature. The purpose of evangelism through literature evangelism is that many church members and pastors underestimate that think this evangelism is only done by the colporteurs, and also lack of participation an interest in owning, reading, and spreading the literary materials that published by The Seventh Day Adventist Church through Indonesia Publishing House and also the indication that church members do not really understand that books, magazines, and articles is one way to do the mission of SDA church that supports the great command. The purpose of this research is to find out whether literature evangelism is one way to do the mission of SDA church and whether its impact is big enough in reaching people from different social levels through books, magazines, and articles that published by IPH. This research is using quantitative statistic methodology where the test is done with validity test, reliability, normality, linearity, hypothesis, frequency and also statistical descriptive. And based on the result of the methodology, it can be concluded that based on the statistical descriptive test, the result of the respondents with the involvement of church members in literature evangelism, the members have understood that literature evangelism is one way to reach the souls and it is not only done by colporteurs.
