ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF ACADEMIC PRINCIPAL SUPERVISION AND IMPLEMENTATION GROUP SUBJECT TEACHERS (MGMP) TO PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE TEACHER JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN JAKARTA CONFERENCE AND SURROUNDING AREAS. This study aims to determine how the academic supervision of the principals, MGMP implementation and professional competence of teachers, as well as determine the effect of the academic supervision by principal and implementation MGMP either partially or simultaneously to the professional competence of school teachers in Jakarta Conference and surrounding areas. This research is a quantitative study using three variables: academic supervision by the principal, the implementation MGMP and professional competence of teachers in junior high school. The subjects of research that junior high school teachers in Jakarta Conference and surrounding areas with a population of 139 teachers with a sample of 58 junior high school teachers in 15 schools through stratified random sampling. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires. The next test of the instrument using validity and reliability test. Test requirements analysis using test data normality, autocorrelation test, linearity test, test and test multikolinieritas heterokedastisitas. Then test the hypothesis using multiple regression, t test and F. The results showed; (1) the academic supervision principals in Conference Jakarta and surrounding areas is progressing well with the percentage of 76.37%, (2) the implementation of MGMP goes well with the percentage of 78.12%, (3) the professional competence of school teachers in the Conference of Jakarta and surrounding areas are well with the percentage of 89.5 0%, (4) there is positive and significant correlation between academic supervision and implementation MGMPs both partially and simultaneously to the professional competence of teachers of junior high school Jakarta Conference and surrounding areas.
