ABSTRACT Thesis Title: ANALYSIS OF THE LEADERS’ PERCEPTION AND THE CHURCH'S MEMBER AT SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISDISTRICT SO'E ABOUT THE EFFECT OFSERVING LEADERSHIP ON SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND EVANGELISM BASED ON MATTHEW 20: 25-26 Researcher Name : Soleman Leokuna Degree : Science of Philosophy Advisor : Dr. J. S. Peranginangin, MA. Date of Completion : Mei, 2017 This writing begins with the background exposure problems regarding understanding members of the congregation in district City SO’E of true leadership as recommended by the Word of God in Matthew 20 :25-28 “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. " This research was conducted in the four member congregation in So’E District Nusa Tenggara with the number of 100 people. This study uses indicators of the views of members of the leadership were selected based Matthew 20:25-28, namely: 1. Understanding the concept of Leadership that ministers promotes spiritual growth based on Matthew 20: 25-28. 2. Understanding servicing leadership enhances evangelism based on Matthew 20:25-28. 3. The application of the concept of leadership working to increase the spirituality oh sacraficing time in Evangelisem based on Mathew 20:25-28.This study aims to: Knowing how high the level of understanding church members against the appropriate leadership according to Matthew 20:28, which is essential for the growth of the influence of spirituality in So’E District. The purposes of this study are: First, to get the biblical concept of church leaders based on criteria Matthew 20:28 and verse and expert opinion support each other. The second was from the analysis of the views of members of the leadership criteria. An understanding about if the leader is already built into the foundation of a true and powerful, it will bring lasting leaders face the challenge of guiding the followers of his. Instead the leadership is wrong, it can adversely affect the confidence members of the leader that will certainly affect the spiritual church members. The method used in this research was quantitative method. The approach is an explanatory-confirmatory, the type of survey and collection tool data that is used in the form of a questionnaire to measure variables parishioners understanding of leadership based on the output Matthew 20:28 with 1-5 choice answers. Research results through testing that has been done shows that the great expectations of church members against the elected leader is a leader capable and fearing God praying with the same score is 3.94, meaning that on average respondents agree the main thing that must be owned by a leader is competent and fear God.Based on the results of this study it is expected that serving leaders can increase spiritual growth and evangelism in the So'E district GMAHK and its application, in order for the evangelical wheel to go forward.
