PENGARUH KOMPETENSI MANAJERIAL DAN KOMPETENSI SUPERVISI KEPALA SEKOLAH TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SEKOLAH ADVENT DI BANDUNG

ABSTRACT THE PRINCIPALS’ MANAGERIAL AND SUPERVISORY COMPETENCES ON THE TEACHERS’ PERFORMANCE AT ADVENTIST SCHOOL IN BANDUNG Gedlin Pierson Limbong NIM: 1634007 The study was aimed at 1) describing the managerial competence at Adventist Schools in Bandung, 2) describing the supervisory competence at Adventist Schools in Bandung, 3) describing the teachers’ performance at Adventist Schools in Bandung 4) analyzing the influence of the principals’ managerial competence on teachers’ performance at Adventist Schools in Bandung 5) analyzing the influence of the principals’ supervisory competence on the teachers’ performance at Adventist Schools in Bandung and 6) analyzing the influence of the principals’ managerial and supervisory competences on the teachers’ performance at Adventist Schools in Bandung The study was descriptive research using an associative quantitative approach. The data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. All school teachers added with few school staffs at Adventist Schools in Bandung were gathered as research population total to 84 teachers. The study results revealed that (1) the managerial competence at Adventist Schools in Bandung was in the moderate category with a percentage of 45,1%, (2) the supervisory competence of principals at Adventist Schools in Bandung was in the moderate category as well with a percentage of 54,4%, and (3) the School teachers’ performance at Adventist Schools in Bandung was moderate with a percentage of 54,4%, (4) by comparing the value tcount > ttable (4,577 > 1,989) meaning that there was influence of the principals’ managerial competence on School teachers’ performance at Adventist Schools in Bandung (5) by observing the comparison of tcount >ttable (5,874 > 1,989) meaning that there was influence of the principals’ supervisory competence on the teachers’ performance at Adventist Schools in Bandung (6) it was simultaneously obtained the value of Fcount > Ftable (17,049 > 3,112) indicating that there were influences of the principals’ managerial and supervisory competences on the teachers’ performance at Adventist schools in Bandung.
