Tanggal Selesai : April 2019 Worshiping God - respecting and worshiping Him, fellowship with Jesus, surrender to Him - is a very important relationship between Christians and their God. In the Church where the writer becomes a pastor getting a Wednesday evening service is very minimal and often there is no service at all. The reason given by church members was that only a few were present, making them lazy to attend. Others argue that Wednesday night lessons are not interesting and monotonous. Some people say they are tired after attending their regular work in their office or workplace. There is also a reason because Wednesday night is not the core program of worship in one week, they consider the Sabbath the most important to be present at the service. In some congregations in the other 18 regions, they also had problems in attending Wednesday evening services. Among them are their homes far from the church or place of worship is held. Some people said exhaustion after attending routine work they are in their office or workplace. There is also the reason for Wednesday night is not the core program of worship in one week, they consider it the Sabbath the core to be present at the service. When the author met with a number of pastors, they said that the reason some of the congregations did not attend the Wednesday evening service was because it was a habit from their parents. Others think that Wednesday night is enough to be held in their homes, because the point is on Sabbath. There were some members who said they were influenced by their partners not to attend the Wednesday night service. The KPA congregation was also held on Wednesday afternoon until evening, so it was the reason for not attending the Wednesday night service. When they met some young people, they had reasons not to attend Wednesday night because they were late at night. Some also reasoned they were tired and said they were afraid they could not go to office tomorrow because they were weak and sick. Some parents were also not present at Wednesday night because they felt old and weak, thus affecting their physical being to worship. But there are also parents who live near the church or place of worship who are not present regularly, but because there are problems with some church leaders, so they are carried around in matters of worship to God. The author also found that there were very few church members who were absent Wednesday night because they felt "not worthy because they always sinned". Even on several occasions they also did not attend worship services on Sabbath too. Most Christians worship regularly, both personally and together, this is done because the worship carried out has meaning and is very useful for life. Most Christians agree that worship cannot be separated from their Christian lives. The purpose of this study is first, to contribute to the pastors, administrators and church members in the ministry in the church on the importance of Wednesday evening worship for the growth of the church's spiritual activities. Second, Providing understanding to every member of the church about the importance of routine worship in spiritual growth. The foundation describes: (1) Background to 1 Timothy: Title of 1 Timothy; The theme of 1 Timothy; The purpose of 1 Timothy; Author of 1 Timothy; Time of Writing 1 Timothy; Outline 1 Timothy, (2) Hermeneutics 1 Timothy 4: 8 (3) Concepts of Worship in the Old Testament, (4) Concepts Worship in the New Testament, (5) The concept of Wednesday night worship, (6) Framework for Thinking, and (7) Research Hypothesis. The author will describe the influences of Wednesday night on the growth of spiritual activities based on problem constraints from identifying problems in Chapter I as well as a description of 1 Tim 4: 8 and a description of worship in the Old and New Testaments, namely first, Wednesday night worship is the power of God to carry out all the rules and activities concerning the Christians. Second, neglecting Wednesday night's worship will make spiritual life not grow. Third, Wednesday night worship from church leaders will have a good influence on the spiritual growth of church members. Worship or worship is a very necessary thing and is mandatory for most Christians. For the people of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the services that are held every week even every day are great strength and spiritual power for all who carry it out. If life is surrounded by influences that are going to mislead themselves from God, then worship must be carried out morning and evening to ask for help and strength from God. The method used in this thesis research is quantitative research. This research population is Tumou Tou Pondok Indah congregation 90 people, Filadelfia Church 35 people, Ciledug Congregation 70 people, Jatimulya Church 20 people, Ciledug Petukangan Church 70 people, Kebayoran Church 400 people, Ragunan Church 60 people. So that the total population is 745 people. The nature of the population used is a homogeneous population, namely both men and women, young parents who are registered as members who have been baptized and active in church. The researcher took a sample of approximately 30% of the number less than 200 and 20% for a number of more than 200. With a total of 745 members in the Region 18 of the DKI Jakarta Conference & Surrounding Seventh-day Adventist Church, researchers will take a sample of 20%. The analysis requirements test is used to fulfill the requirements to test the hypothesis, which includes the normality test and regression linearity test assumption that multicollinearity is temporarily ignored and the population is considered homogeneous. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, there was the influence of Wednesday evening services on the spiritual growth of the members of the GMAHK Region 18 Conference of DKI Jakarta and its surroundings based on the philosophy of 1 Timothy 4: 8 of 48.2%. The conclusion of this study is first, the average congregation member is still in doubt that neglecting Wednesday evening worship will be making spiritual life less grow so that members of the congregation do not fully understand about Wednesday evening worship can provide the power of faith that concerns the spiritual community of Christians. Second, the average congregation is hesitant that neglecting the Wednesday evening prayer will weaken the soul and reduce spiritual power so that the average member of the congregation does not understand that neglecting group nighttime worship will make spiritual life not grow. Third, members of the congregation were hesitant about the influence of church leaders in the Region 18 GMUs of the DKI Jakarta Conference & Surroundings, to influence the spiritual growth of their members. This means that on average church leaders do not yet understand that the Wednesday night service performed by church leaders will exemplify and positively influence the spiritual growth of church members. The author recommends that the church officials / employees and members of the congregation be able to do service in the church on the importance of Wednesday night worship to the growth of the church's spiritual activities, because of the importance of regular worship in spiritual growth. It needs to be increased awareness of church members on the importance of Wednesday night worship in spiritual growth and the growth of the involvement of the church's spiritual activities. It is desirable for church members and pastors to be abler to help in the growth of faith that is more effective and can maximize the involvement of church members in spiritual activities in the church.
