ABSTRACT KNOWLEDGE OF HOUSEHOLDER ABOUT HEALTHY HOME BEFORE AND AFTER HEALTH EDUCATION IN KANCAH VILLAGE OF CIHIDEUNG VILLAGE SUB-DISTRICT PARONGPONG WEST BANDUNG Virginia Afasedanya ID: 1551061 Based on observations made in Kancah Village of Cihideung Village Parongpong SubDistrict West Bandung, there were 5 out of 10 houses that did not meet the requirements of healthy homes, of which there were those who did not have good ventilation, more than one family head, house ceilings dirty, animal cages adjacent to the house, poor sun lighting, flies and mosquitoes that nest in the house and others. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of the householder about healthy homes before and after the provision of health education in Kancah village of Cihideung Village Parongpong Sub-District, West Bandung. The method used in this study is Pre Experimental with one group pre-test post-test without control. Data obtained in this study by questionnaire filling by 30 respondents, and analyzed using SPSS. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant difference in the knowledge of the householder between before and after health education about healthy homes with a pvalue = 0,000, thus rejecting H0 and accepting H1. Researchers suggest to health workers to conduct health education about healthy homes on a regular basis to the public, and to further researchers to conduct research by adding other variables such as attitudes, behavior, and etc. Keywords: Knowledge, Healthy Houses, Health Education
