ABSTRACT ATTITUDE OF STUDENTS TO NATURAL DISASTER: EARTHQUAKE IN UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA ADE RIMOND JULIO P NIM: 1551060 Earthquakes are the most frequent disaster in Indonesia, especially Java. Java Island is a meeting of two plates, namely the Indian Ocean Plate and the Eurasian Continent Plate. Therefore, the risk of an earthquake being high. This study aims to look at student attitudes towards earthquake natural disasters at Universitas Advent Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method that uses a questionnaire with a statement of 20 items to be used as a tool. The results of the answers to the samples were measured statistically to see their value and were illustrated by the Likert attitude scale. The results of this study indicate that students in Universitas Advent Indonesia have a "Agree" attitude towards earthquake natural disasters where the mean value of response responses to the given questionnaire shows a number of 4,208 which if converted with a Likert scale falls into the "agree" category of statements about disaster mitigation. Although it can be concluded that the attitude of Universitas Advent Indonesia students to earthquakes is "agreed", there are still some statements that are still being hesitantly addressed by respondents who are assumed by researchers because of the lack of knowledge about disaster mitigation.
