ABSTRACK NURSE KNOWLEDGE LEVEL AND ABILITY TO INTERPRET ECG RESULT IN BANDAR LAMPUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL Kristiana Sibarani NIM: 1651099 Heart disease is increasing every year because there are several factors such as life is wrong. Heart disease is very dangerous and life thereatening. Heart defect can be deteted by electro cardio gram (EKG), wich requires knowledge of the recording and interpretation. A profesional nurse shoul be able to interpret the data anda the result of the study and the patien supporting data such as laboatory outcomes and interpret elektro cardiogram (ECG). A skill of nurse in performing the interpretation of ECG result is needed in the handling of cardiovascular distress.This study aims to describethe level of nurse’s knowladge and ability about ECG interpretation. This study design was a descriptive. Samples in this research 100 nurses who work in Bandar Lampung Adventist Hospital with total sampling method.Data collections using a questionaire containing 29 items statement. Data analysis was univariate analysis explain that most of nurse’s knowledge level is more than enough (70,53%) and the valueof the ability to low (84%) with an average of 39,29. Analysis of the data relationship knowladge and ability to use the scale spearman’s rho. Result r-test to show that the relationship between the level of a significant knowlage and ability (r result=0,01). Conclusion from the result of the study knowledge level is more than enough and ability nurse in interpreting the ability to low, and suggestions for a nurses need to be equipped with knowledge about ECG and ability interpretation throug formal education and training.
