ABSTRACT WARM COMPRESS TO REDUCE FEVER IN ADULT PATIENTS IN RUMAH SAKIT ADVENT BANDAR LAMPUNG Kristanto Sebattos Saputra Min Dala ID: 1251039 This study was motivated by the researcher observation during clinical practice that warm compress for fever are rarely used in patients. This study was conducted to determine the difference in body temperature before and after given warm water compresses to reduce fever in adult patients. The method used is praexperimental with Pre-Test and Post-Test Design. Samples used were 20 adult patients who had fever at Rumah Sakit Advent Bandar Lampung which choosen by purposive sampling. The instrument used is a digital thermometer do Measures patient's body temperature, documentation tools, and warm compress tools. This study found that the average of patients body temperature before given warm water compress are 38.39o C and after given warm compress are 37.88o C. The conclusion of the study that there was a significant difference in body temperature before and after given warm water compress for adult patients with fever (p value < 0.05). Suggestion given related to result of this research is that it can be used as net informatif about choice intervention in handling fever problem and to be developed in subsequent research.
