ABSTRACT Experiences of Nurse Students When Admonished Using Smartphones at Class and Worship Time at the Adventist University of Indonesia Thomas Aryadi NIM: 1551011 Some students now depend on their smartphones. They depend their lives on smartphones for various reasons such as helping with work. During college hours many students use their smartphones to play games or access the internet because they are tired of listening to lecturers giving courses. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the experience of nursing students when reprimanded using smartphones in class hours and / or hours of worship at the Adventist University of Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive qualitative phenomenology method. The research informants consisted of six students from the Faculty of Nursing at Advent Indonesia University who were selected using the purposive sampling method. The results of interviews conducted by researchers on six students of the Faculty of Nursing showed that all had used smartphones during class hours or hours of worship. Data analysis from the results of this study uses the Collaizi method and produces five categories namely Boring Situations, Stopping the Use of Mobile Phones, Repeated Habits, Strict Warning and Environment.
