ABSTRACT Thesis Title : THE ANALYSIS INFLUENCE OF SMALL GROUP PROGRAM MEMBERS ACTIVITIES CONCERNING SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH MEMBERS IN REGION VIII OF THE JAKARTA LOCAL CONFERENCE ON SOCIAL RELATIONS IN SOCIETY IN FILLING THE FAITH BASED ON PHILOSOPHY ACTS 2: 42-47 Researcher Name : Sammy Munaiseche Name and Title : Master Of Philosophy Supervisor : 1. Dr. Alvyn Hendriks, M.Min End Date : 23 April 2018 Human situations and diversity in background, ethnicity and language are indispensable philosophical thoughts for human beings so that they can open the door for entry into any community. Social relations are often not interwoven because a person's busy work activities on a daily basis make a person does not have enough time to establish a social relationship, it could be because of differences in ethnicity, culture, race, religion and others cause a person has no interest or taste interested in social relationships. Small Group is one of the programs released by the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDAC) organization in the Jakarta Special Assembly from the Ministry of Individual Services as a program for outreach in evangelism programs and in building good relationships especially in the social field with the community. The researcher will focus specifically on social relations issues and small group influences to the community or SDAC members in the eighth area of the DKI Jakarta Conference and surrounding areas to the neighborhood in which the church is located and where the church members live. The purpose of this study is to first examine the function and role of small groups in building social relationships today in society as the most important means of entering into community relations in a challenging and challenging environment. Second, studying the positive and negative aspects of small groups in building social relationships with the surrounding community on spiritual influence as well as in growth and equipping the faith especially the members of SDAC Jakarta Local Conferences and its surroundings, especially in region eight. Third, learn how the church's attitude toward small group activities in building communication with the surrounding community, in the sense that every member of the church can use small groups as a means of social relationships in evangelism today and gain freedom in society to carry out spiritual activities in the environment around where the church is and the house where we live. The author uses this research method to provide information about the problem under study. The goal is to test the hypothesis that the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The independent variables are Understanding of Members of Small Groups in social relations of society and the role of members in the surrounding community called variable X, and the dependent variable is the ability of members in implementing or forming a small group called Y. This research uses a sampling technique called Simple Random Sampling. It is known that the number of respondents in this study as many as 150 people from 11 churches with 30 questions statement. Test requirements analysis is needed to determine whether the data analysis for hypothesis testing can proceed or not. Some data analysis techniques require test requirements analysis. Variant analysis requires that data come from normally distributed populations and groups that are homogeneous. Therefore, variant analysis requires normality test and data homogeneity. The conclusions of this research are First, the level of understanding of the members of SDAC Jakarta Local Conferences and Surrounding specifically in region eight to the function of small group in building social relation in society amounted to 3.24. The average member of the congregation hesitates that the small group teaches them the spirit in serving so that whomever they meet, they will invite to join the small group. Secondly, the awareness level of members of SDAC of Jakarta Local Confrence and Surrounding specifically in region eight in social life and have closeness with the surrounding environment so as to have no difficulty in forming small group in neighborhood of 3.13, where the average member of the congregation never become the RT management in their neighborhood. Thirdly, the percentage of the total number of members of the SDAC Jakarta Local Conference of the Special Capital Region of DKI Jakarta and Surrounding specifically in the eight regions has the expertise and interest in shaping and running small group activities in the community so as not to depend on the pastor of the congregation by 33%, the average member of the congregation is not too happy new church members to get acquainted with the neighbors of the church to be known by the neighbors around the church and engage with the Pastor in conducting health counseling to the church's community. The implication of this research is that the Christian Church in general and the SDAC is a minority denomination, this region is certainly dominated by Moslem majority, seeing conditions like this, there are problems that are being faced, among others, freedom in worship and in mingling among the majority Moslem community . It needs careful attention and social thinking to implement the meaning of the formation of a small group in order to be useful and targeted, so that the writing of this thesis will dig deeper into the things needed in building a small group in social relations so in terms of spiritual will automatically form by itself so as to equip our Faith in reaching outsiders of different religions.
