ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS UNDERSTANDING MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST GENTRA KARAHAYUAN CONGREGATION ABOUT GREAT COMMISSION CONCEPT BASED GOSPEL OF MATTHEW 28:18-20 Researcher Name : Jimmy Dolot Degree : Master of Philosophy (M.Fil) Supervisor : Dr. B.D. Nainggolan, MPS Date of Finish : May 2016 Understanding Analysis Members Seventh-day Adventist Church congregation Gentra Karahayuan about Great Commission Concept Based on Matthew 28: 18-20. Keywords: comprehension, application, and influence. The Church must be the spearhead to reach the tribes or areas that are difficult to reach with the gospel. Sundanese community is one of the groups of people who need to be reached with the Gospel, the command of the Lord Jesus in the Great Commission is to make all nations His disciples. Seventh-day Adventist Church in West Java Conference put the concentration of the Great Commission of Jesus to the Sundanese, officially recorded until now there are two churches that parishioners Sundanese ethnic background, both of its congregation of Buktos and Gentra Karahayuan. Its growth is less significant, the church baptized member Gentra Karahayuan recorded reached 260 people, but in reality that is active in an unchurched only 30 people, and even then in fluctuation is the same people. The concept of the Great Commission is recorded completely in the Gospel of Matthew, in the Synoptic Gospels, Matthew is the most complete in messages, but sometimes would lead to multiple interpretations to understand the concept of the Great Commission itself. Chapter two discusses the understanding of the Great Commission, why it is called the Great Commission, and why should it be the Great Commission, evangelism picture agreements contained in the Old and New Testament, and analyzes the concept of the Great Commission at Matthew 28: 18-20, by digging inductively, pearl expose the truth that there are so understand the concept of the Great Commission correctly. The research method is discussion in chapter three, while research is conducted in the Seventh-day Adventist Church congregation Gentra Karahayuan Conference West Java, with the 82 members of the Baptist as respondents. The method used in this research is quantitative research and data collection tools used in the form of a questionnaire to measure the variable understanding of the concept is based on the Great Commission of Matthew 28: 18-20. The discussion of the results of field research presented in chapter four, that is based on the calculation of the data, the congregation Gentra Karahayuan an understanding of the concept of Great Commission based Matthew 28: 18-20 is high, reaching 67.5%, so it can be understood there are imbalances between understanding of the concept to implementation in life. Chapter five is the final discussion of the thesis in the form of conclusions and advice, the hope of the church growth, discipleship occurs and the Great Commission to the glory of God.
