ABSTRACT NURSING CARE TO Mr. Y WITH GENITOURINARY SYSTEM: BENIGNA PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA IN TREATMENT FLOOR IV ADVENT HOSTPITAL BANDUNG Arranged by: EKO MARBUN 1552036 Scientific Writing is based on the prevalence of Benigna Prostatic Hyperplasia in the increasing age of older. Approximately 2.5 million Indonesian men suffer from Benigna Prostatic Hyperplasia due to the age factor. The purpose of this scientific paper is to apply nursing care to Mr. Y with Benigna Prostatic Hyperplasia, using a holistic care approach. The method used is by descriptive method by way of data collection through observation, interview, documentation, bibliography, and study of electronic media. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is a condition in which the prostate gland undergoes enlargement, extends upward into the bladder and clogs the flow of urine by covering the urethral orifice. The disease is caused by age and lifestyle factors. Signs and symptoms are hesitancy, frequent urination, urgency, decreased urine flow, and hematuria. Problems in Benigna Prostatic Hyperplasia clients are acute pain, infection risk, and anxiety. The conclusion of this paper is fostering a relationship of trust to clients and families so that the process of nursing goes well. The suggestions that authors can provide in this paper are the importance to improve nursing care through the promotion of health, mutual trust, science based theories, and attitudes sensitive to the needs of the client.
