ABSTRACT IMPLEMENTATION OF FOOTCARE EDUCATION AS EFFORT PREVENTION OF DIABETIC FOOT IN PATIENTS DIABETES MELITUS TYPE 2 IN SPACE 457 SOUTH WING IV HOSPITAL BANDUNG ADVENT Arranged by : Morio Brandez Sinaga NIM : 1652029 Aging is a phase experienced by humans. Older, more and more conditions are called degenerative processes. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is found in the elderly. DM causes acute and chronic complications. Examples of chronic complications are neuropathy. Neuropathy is a disorder of the nervous system that usually occurs in the legs and is the cause of diabetic feet. The purpose of this paper is to find out the provision of Footcare measures to overcome Diabetic Ulcers in DM patients in the South Wing IV unit of the Adventist Hospital in Bandung. The method used is descriptive, doing observations for three days, conducting scientific studies, giving interventions according to Evidence Based Practice (EBP), taking medical records of patients. The diagnosis that appears with the medical diagnosis of type 2 DM is the risk of damage to the integrity of the skin r.t. (related to) sensation changes: itching, balance disorders, nutrition less than the body's needs r.t. anorexia, fatigue r.t decreased metabolic production. B.d fatigue decreases metabolic production. The conclusion obtained is that there is not much difference between theory and practice in the field. After treatment for 3 days the signs of damage to the integrity of the skin are not visible, and there is an effect of foot care education on diabetic ulcer prevention.
