ABSTRACT Thesis writing is motivated by the author's observation while working in the Surgery Room Installation Bandung Adventist Hospital, where during a check list of patient safety in the operating room is not all obedient. The aim of this study is to describe about the management of patient safety in the operating room by a nurse in the operating room. The method used is descriptive method of documentation. The population used in this study were 100 patients sampled documents Installation Surgery Room. The instrument used was in the form of sheets of observation. Instruments adopted from the World Health Organization (WHO) and has been used by the Bandung Adventist Hospital. The results showed that the management of patient safety in the operating room by a nurse in the operating room high. Aspects of the most performed in the management of patient safety in the operating room by a nurse in the operating room are aspects before induction of anesthesia, and the least implemented aspect is the aspect of the patient out of the room before surgery. We hope this research can be input for field Head Room Installation Surgery, Surgical Rooms Officer Installation and Maintenance Division RSAB as information for controlling the central operating theater checklis order made by all officers Surgery Room Installation so that it can be followed up for further improvements. Field of study, are expected this research method can be used as a baseline to be developed in the following research on the relationship level trim management of patient safety checks with the operation process in the operating room.
