ANALISIS PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN GADGET TERHADAP FALSAFAH PENDIDIKAN ADVENT SECARA HOLISTIK MENURUT LUKAS 2:52 DI SEKOLAH LANJUTAN ADVENT PURWODADI
XMLABSTRACT The title of the thesis : ANALYSIS ON THE USE OF GADGETS TOWARDS THE PHILOSOPHY OF ADVENTIST EDUCATION ACCORDING TO LUKE 2:52 IN PURWODADI ADVENTIST ACADEMY Researcher : Herwan Oroh Degree : MASTERS IN PHILOSOPHY (M. Fil) Adviser : Dr. Alvyn Hendriks, M. Min Submission date : April 2018 The purpose of this research was to determine whether there is a relationship between holistic education with the use of gadgets of the students in Purwodadi Adventist Academy smartphone users in Pasuruan. The variables used on holistic education are the situations of the individuals that are free from pressure and perception and the evaluation of Purwodadi Adventist Academy students about holistic eduation as a whole. The variable on the usage of gadgets is excessive phone usage behavior that can be considered a self-control disorder. This research was conducted on the students of SLA Purwodadi whowere active during the school holiday which were smartphone users in Pasuruan City with the number of subjects of 167 people. The tools that were used in collecting the data on holistic education were questionnaires that consisted of 32 items, while the questionnaires of gadget usage consisted of 8 items. The data analysis was done by a statistical product moment correlation analysis technique, with the help of a statistical tool, SPSS 24 for Windows. Based on the F test result an F count equal to 65,003 was obtained. If compared with the Ftabel along with df 3: 166 equalled to 2,66 at a signification level of 5% then f count is bigger than f table and it can be concluded that the second hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and is an Influence of Gadget Usage to the Holistic Adventist Education's philosophy according to Luke 2: 52 at Sekolah Advent Purwodadi with a percentage of 73.8%. CHAPTER 1. The author provides a background of the lack of understanding and application of holistic education of the students in Purwodadi Adventist Academy. The effect of the lack of application of holistic education can be seen from the cleanliness and tidiness of cabinets, beds, rooms and dormitory environments; hearing disrespectful words, dirty words, and harsh words; bothering each other, moving seats, beckoning towards each other, while praying together and while worshipping God as well as not being able to sit calmly while worshipping, and the inability to control emotions when a friend is unintentionally bothering them, as well as erasing the phone’s memory car. Chapter 2. The author explains the theoretical basis of the influence of the use of gadgets on holistic Adventist education based on Luke 2:52. In this section the author discusses about: Gadget Usage, The Definition Of Gadgets, Small Electronic Gadgets, The Negative Impact of Gadgets towards Holistic, an analysis on Luke 2:52, Education during The Age Of Israel, Education during The Age Of Christ, Rules Of Education For Parents, Education Holistic of Jesus, the foundation of the Philosophy of Education, Source and Purpose of proper Education, philosophy of Adventist Education.. Chapter 3, the author explains about research methods that has been used. The method used in this study was quantitative research, and the tools used in collecting data were questionnaires used to measure the variables of the understanding and application of SLAPUR students on the influence of the use of gadgets to towards the philosophy of holistic Adventist Education based on Luke 2:52 with an answer scale of 1 -5, with the number of 32 questions. Chapter IV. The author gives the results of research analysis based on the answers of 167 respondents of students of Purwodadi Adventist Academy in Pasuruan, East Java, the authors then gave these following conclusions: First, there is a relationship between understanding the application of Gadget Use towards the Philosophy of Holistic Adventist Education according to Luke 2:52 in Purwodadi Adventist Academy with a percentage of 73.8%. Secondly, respondents were hesitatant with the statement "Can live the praises and together bow in prayer during worship in solemn and intellect", and are able to get along kindly and individually and become a blessing for their friends socially. Both of these statements by the respondents are given the highest value in this thesis. Thirdly, the respondents on average opened the Bible, Instagram, Youtube, Social Media, Games, No choice and respondents gave answer with highest score that is Game of 38.9%, Instagram22.8%, Medsos16.8% While respondents open Youtube app, , There is no choice to have a lower score of Youtube of 13.2%, Bible6.6%, No option 1.8% Fourth, respondents on average used their gadgets with the highest score of 17.4% compared with respondents whose duration of using their gadgets that had a low score of 4.2%, on the influence of gadget use towards the philosophy of holistic Adventist education based on Lukw 2: 52 in Purwodadi Adventist Academy. Chapter V. The author made the following conclusions and suggestions: First, the need for a level of understanding of adolescent students about the effect of using gadgets on the philosophy of holistic Adventist education through devotionals, seminars and sermons. Second, the need to increase supervision in the use of applications that are actually useful in the phones of SLAPUR students, and provide a time limit of usage of no more than 2 hours a day. Because, if the student's mobile phone is checked by the Parent / Family Group and there is a time limit for its usage then the students will be able to be directed to the holistic education physically, mentally, spiritually and socially. Third gives serious attention from parents / guardians and the school parties about the use of gadgets in a positive manner.
