ABSTRACT NURSING CARE PLAN FOR MR. J WITH RESPIRATORY DISORDER: PNEUMOTORAKS IN 4th FLOOR OF BANDUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL Daniel Hadi 1452023 The writing of this paper background by the lungs and respiratory tract disease (Pneumothoraks ), which is a state where there is air in the pleural cavity . The incidence of pneumothoraks in Indonesia difficult to know because many unknown episodes, occur spontaneously and unexpectedly. Men have a greater risk than women with spontaneous pneumothoraks with ratio of approximately 5:1. The purpose of this paper to gain theoretical knowledge and real experience in performing nursing care that includes bio, psycho, social and spiritual as well as observing human in holistic by using the nursing process approach to clients suffering from pneumothoraks. Method used is descriptive method. Techniquesused in the collection of data are through observation, interviews, library studies, active participation, and documentation. Pneumothoraks occurs due to inadequate dissemination of oxygen to all tissues of the body, and it can cause death if it’s not at quickly and precisely handed. After performing the treatment process directly on the client , the authors found several problems, namely: ineffective breathing pattern, a high risk of respiratory infections and trauma, activity intolerance, impaired nutritional pattern and lack of knowledge. After the treatment process on the client, there are several nursing diagnostic resolved and some are not resolved. Nursing diagnostic that is resolved are: impaired nutritional pattern, activity intolerance , high risk of respiratory infections and trauma, while the unresolved is ineffective breathing pattern.
