MEDIA SOSIAL DAN PERILAKU SEKSUAL PRANIKAH DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA

ABSTRACT Social Media And Premarital Sexual Behavior Among The Students In Adventist University Of Indonesia The high use of social media in big cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta (83%), Bandung (57%) and Semarang (49%), which causes an increase in premarital sexual behavior. With the exciting features that allows every person to access a variety of information including serving as implisist sexual scenes. The method used in this research is descriptive correlation method, the population in this study were nursing students S1 level III by using total sampling method. The instruments used in this study is a questionnaire which amounted to respectively 16 statement on the use of social media and 20 statements about premarital sexual behavior. The average use of social media among students of Adventist University of Indonesia was 11:32 or 68%. Average with high interpretations, premarital sexual behavior among the students of the Adventist University of Indonesia is 6.5 or 32% with a low interpretation. The results of this study showed no significant association between the use of social media and premarital sexual behavior. Therefore, the use of social media can not practically be a trigger premarital sexual behavior. The results of this study are expected to be useful for the Faculty of Nursing, students, counseling of Adventist University of Indonesia and also for further research, In order to be used as a reference in subsequent studies, in order to obtain a picture in knowing the early warning about premarital sexual behavior, solutions and prevention, as input in matters of sexuality and become a benchmark in premarital sexual behavior among students, and also for further research to better categorize the respondents surveyed in order to obtain maximum results.
