ABSTRACT NURSING CARE PLAN FOR Mr. W WITH GASTROINTESTINAL DISORDER: ACUTE GASTROENTIRITIS IN INDONESIAN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY’s CLINIC Fajar Martin Sadha ID: 1252037 This writing was made based on the high mark of dead that caused by acute gastroenteritis. One of them is Indonesia, particularly in Bandung, West java. This data was obtained in Indonesian Adventist University’s Clinic by medical record where author did the practice. acute gastroenteritis a disease that attacks the digestive system caused by the entry of virus or bacteria to the whole body trough food that might induce the inflammation of cavity and intestines. The purpose of this writing is to do an assessment, and provide nursing care proses which is doing the assessment, diagnose, make the nursing purpose, to do the implementation and evaluate the patient with acute gastroenteritis. The nursing problem that appear in patient with acute gastroenteritis is interference pattern of bowel elimination: diarrhea, pain, hyperthermia, fluid volume deficit, the lack of electrolytes, disorders of nutrition from the body needs, and less knowledge about acute gastroenteritis. The methods of research used is the descriptive method and the data collection was done by observation, interview, and documentation technic. When the assessment is done, the sign and symptom are not correspond with the theory which is the absent of the hyperthermia diagnose. The author did not find any difficulties on the assessment because of the mutual trust and good cooperation between nurse, patient and family. Otherwise, the authority of theory and specific skills is need to achieve optimal nursing action for acute gastroenteritis disease. Because of the limitedness of time, a good cooperation between nurse, patient and other medical team is need to achieve maximum medical attendance and to reach the desired purpose.
