XMLABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE PRAYER PROGRAM THROUGH SPIRITUAL GROWTH CHURCH MEMBER OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CONFERENCE OF WEST JAVA CLUSTER II TO THE SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE CHURCH BASED ON THE PRAYER PHILOSOPHY 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17 Researcher Name : William Kolex Simalango Name and Title : Magister Filsafat (M.Fil) Supervisor : Dr. BD. Nainggolan, MPS. End Date : April 25, 2018 Programs created by organizations to improve members' spirituality through prayer will help members in completing life struggles. Increasing physical needs must be balanced with spiritual growth. It is a work done with tremendous power over life. Before the first prayer is offered, a short reminder of the material provided by the organization, after a brief prayer a prayer leader will lead to a prayer of unity. The 10-day prayer program provides an opportunity for members to write down their struggles, issues and petitions on a paper and then collect the papers and re-share them with other members of the congregation to pray for them. Prayer programs carried out by GMAHK members around the world were conducted at the beginning of the year precisely in January. While the place of execution can be implemented at home and in church. The essence of the prayer program is to pray according to the direction the organization provides about the goals or the things that are prayed for. The 10-day prayer program is different from the 7152 program and the 777-prayer program, where in the 10-day prayer program a prayer called a union prayer, where there are four main parts in prayer: praise, confession, petition, thanksgiving and last closing. The members of the congregation are still hard to love that can be seen through the offerings and tithes given by members who are at a glance incompatible with the lifestyle possessed by the members, where members have a luxurious lifestyle while they offer tithes and offerings to God even sometimes not giving. The life that produces the fruit of the spirit can also be seen from the level of the ministry member and the withdrawal of the soul in the church. The author finds that members of the congregation who are happy to be involved in the ministry both in the church and in the withdrawal of the number are also not increased, it can be said that people only that is it. Observation of the author in running the program of unity prayer is, members of the congregation is less liberal in delivering personal requests because of time limitations in the prayer of fellowship, so also if someone who ask for prayer and many prayers proposal then there is a tendency to forget, whereas some members are also less open to declare the struggle or problems faced to be known by other members. The purpose of this study is firstly to know clearly the state of the spiritual life of God's people in the Seventh-day Adventist Church that is on its way to the Promised Land must always have an intimate relationship with God through prayer.
