ABSTRACT ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA Tn. S DENGAN GANGGUAN SISTEM PERNAPASAN: KANKER NASOFARING DI LANTAI II RUMAH SAKIT ADVENT BANDUNG Ikhlas Muliawan Lay NIM: 1352014 The writing of scientific papers was effected by the number of nesopharynx cancer cases that occur in Indonesia that continue to increase each year in the last 5 years. The purpose of this paper was to provide an overview of the implementation of the nursing care of patient with cancer nasopharing with nursing process approach. The Writing method was used a descriptive method and data collection was done by interviews, observation and documentation studies, The results of the study showed that the occurrence cancer of the nasopharynx in patients Mr. S was because of the diet habits of patients who like to consume hot food and eat fish containing high salt. Nursing diagnosis that appears was the ineffectiveness of the pattern of breathing, impaired sense of comfort pain, disorders of nutrition less than necessity, and less knowledge. The results of nursing care for three days showed that the ineffectiveness of breathing patterns was resolved but other diagnoses was not resolved. The conclusion of this paper was not found difficulty while studying, in providing nursing actions in patients with nasopharyngeal cancer and also needed a good cooperation between patients, nurses, family and other medical team. The author does not drag on the evaluation stage. In addition patients with cancer of the nasopharynx should do the proper treatment, the family was expected to maintain health so that no other family members affected by cancer of the nasopharynx. This paper was expected to be input to the field of nursing, health care institutions and nursing students in providing nursing care in patients with nasopharyngeal cancer.
