ABSTRACT Thesis Title : THEOLOGICAL ANALYSIS EFFECT OF THE SPIRIT OF ALUMNUS 1000 MISSIONARY MOVEMENT AGAINST EVANGELISM IN THE MANADO CHAPTER ACCORDING TO ROMANS 12:11 Name of Researcher : Agus Prawoto Title : Masters in Philosophy Material Advisor : Pdt. Dr. Reymand Hutabarat, M.A, M.Div. Technical Advisor : Pdt. Dr. Alvin Hendriks, M.Min Date of Completion : 16 – April – 2019 The number of alumni of the 1000 Missionary Movement in the Manado Chapter is increasing, many of them return to their respective regions, but many of them continue their education at several Adventist universities in Indonesia including UNAI, UNKLAB, PTASN Medan, etc. Chapter Manado is in the Minahasa Conference area, Manado Bitung Conference, and North Minahasa area. Manado Chapter as a chapter that has the highest number of alumni members in Indonesia gives a different nuance in evangelism and soul withdrawal. The enthusiasm of the alumni of the 1000 Missionary Movement Indonesia on evangelism is worth investigating, the more alumni produced by the 1000 Missionary Movement who need encouragement in their life processes to keep their evangelistic spirit The Indonesia Senior Missionary Movement is an organization formed to protect young people who have completed their training and service for one year. This organization has a vision of becoming a partner and supporter of the 1000 Missionary movement program in Indonesia, Encouraging alumni of 1000 Missionary Movement volunteers to remain actively involved in missionary movements, involving all components of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (hereinafter referred to as "GMO") for completion gospel message especially in Indonesia. Therefore this organization has an easy responsibility to maintain the spirit of these senior missionaries. As time goes by it began to appear that some senior missionaries began to loosen up their missionary enthusiasm, one of which was to see their evangelistic spirit can be seen through activeness in activities in the organization and service activities created by the ISMM (Indonesia Senior Missionary Movement). This situation cannot be ignored because it affects the spirit of their evangelism and the church where they are and their environment. For this reason, this organization is expected to be able to maintain the evangelistic spirit they have received during the training. In addition, the Bible invites us not to have a loose spirit as in Romans 12:11 because Christ will soon be coming. Evangelism is a ministry in the form of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ that brings the human soul into fellowship with God, while "discipleship" is a ministry whose purpose is to equip believers to become disciplined disciples in following Christ and His teachings. The Indonesia Senior Missionary Movement can be one of the tools to maintain the spirit of the alumni 1000 Missionary Movement that is very good at the present time. So that the work of an alumni of 1000 Missionary Movement must be felt by the church and even the community wherever they are, their enthusiasm is expected to continue to live until Jesus comes on the second time. The purpose of this study is first, to be able to understand the concept of the influence of the spirit of Alumnus 1000 Indonesian missionary movements on evangelism in the Manado chapter according to Rome 12:11. Second To find out clearly the state of life of senior missionaries in Indonesia who together with other church members await the second coming of Jesus. Third, To provide the basics of biblical truth that missionary seniors in the Seventh-day Adventist Church know about their life in evangelism. Fourth, to give a senior thing to the senior missionaries in the Seventh-day Adventist Church that the Holy Spirit is a source of strength in evangelism. Fifth, practicing diligent life in evangelism guided by the Holy Spirit as clear evidence of a difference in spiritual life with other young adventures. Sixth, to complete the demands of the Post-graduate program, Adventist University of Indonesia in obtaining a master's degree. In the theoretical basis there are 8 (eight) sections, namely, (1) Background to the Book of Romans, Background to Romans, Book of Romans, Place and Time of Writing of the Book of Romans, Purpose of the Book of Romans, Theme of the Book of Romans, Outline Romans, (2) Analysis of the Concept of Evangelism according to Romans 12:11 (3) General Understanding of Evangelism, (4) Concepts of Evangelism in the Bible, (5) Concepts of Evangelism According to Theologians, (6) Concepts of Evangelism According to Spirit Prophecy, (7 ) Activities in Evangelism, and (8) Responsibility for evangelism. Chapter Manado is a chapter that has the most alumni members from the six chapters in Indonesia. With more than 200 alumni members, this chapter is expected to be an example for other chapters, especially in terms of their evangelistic spirit. The author is interested in measuring the extent to which this potential is realized in their lives and in their ministry in the church, so that it is a barometer for services in other chapters. Variables in this study include; X1, Understanding the Concept of Evangelism for alumni of 1000 MM Chapter Manado, in Understanding 1000 MM alumni of Evangelism Based on the Philosophy of Romans 12:11. X2, Applying the Concept of Evangelism Through the activities of the 1000 MM alumnus it will provide a spirit of evangelism when applying the Meaning of Evangelism Based on the Philosophy of Romans 12:11. X3, Understanding and Applying the influence of 1000 MM alumni to evangelism in the church where they are based on the Philosophy of Romans 12:11. Y, Theological Analysis Effect of the Spirit of Alumnus 1000 Missionary Movement Against Evangelism in the Manado Chapter According to Romans 12:11 (endogenous variables). The conclusion from this research are: First, the level of understanding of 1000 Missionary Movement Alumni for the evangelism can influence the spiritual growth as based on Rome 12:11 are 3.66. Second, the level of influence of Alumni 1000 Missionary Movement activity for the evangelism at their region which the alumni always attend and participate actively are 3.65. Third, the Alumni of 1000 Missionary Movement influence for the evangelism can help the church member to grown spiritually and have evangelistic spirit based on Rome 12:11 are 3.27. The suggestion can be given are First, evangelism understanding which influence for their spiritual life are through the sermons, in mid-week worship and vesper which created by the alumni, in the meeting program that scheduled, the small group was created and the Alumni revival program. Second, as a leader, we should be the example to realize, caring, and participate in the alumni activity which programmed by the organization, so it can make big influence for the other alumni so they can also join actively. Third, Manado chapter should make the evangelism program in the alumni organization such as visiting the families around their neighborhood to strengthened their evangelism spirit once a week, and delegate a duty to every Alumni to work in the church and to the young people where the alumni membership listed. Implication from this research was spirit of evangelism, which is to serve the people around them, it cannot be separated from the gospel. The evangelism is a service in form of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ which can bring the human soul to the partnership with God and also can give the influence to the church member to evangelize. When Jesus ascended to heaven He give us another comforter which is the Holy Spirit where the one of His duty is to remain us to be faithful to our high calling where God demand to each one of us to take every opportunity the He give to us, ignoring to do the dangerous thing for our spiritual growth. God will help us through His Holy Spirit to overcome our weaknesses so there will be no more barrier for us to work in evangelism to save others.
