IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERBIMBING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA SMP

ABSTRACT This study uses a quantitative study with an experimental method which aims to improve problem-solving abilities. The student of SMP N 2 Parongpong West Bandung is a sample of this study consisted of two classes and divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received treatment guided inquiry learning model which consists of 30 students and the control group received the conventional treatment study consisting of 33 students. The research instrument used was a test of mathematical problem-solving abilities, and worksheets teaching materials in the form of a non - question test (scale student response). Data obtained from the pretest and posttest and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The study showed that there were improvement in the problem solving ability of those who are taught using guided inquiry learning and the problem solving ability improvement of the students who were taught using the conventional learning guided inquiry learning model. But in general guided inquiry learning model can be used as an alternative to learning to improve mathematical problem solving ability junior high school students.
