ABSTRACT EFFECT OF PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL TO SALES VOLUME IN. KATAMATA (EYESTALK) By : Ananda Pertiwi Tambunan This study, entitled "Effect of Product Distribution Channel to Sales Volume". This study aims to determine how the development of the company's sales volume of PT. Katamata (Eyestalk), to ascertain the extent of the influence of the distribution channels to increase sales at PT. Katamata (Eyestalk). This research method used in this study was descriptive method. Descriptive method was a method of research that discusses, describes, examines and analyze data used in a study by comparing it with existing theory and research. The research data was gathered through an interview setting. Data was processed using statistical analysis Pearson product moment for correlation coefficient analysis, hypothesis testing,the coefficient of determination and regresion linear analysis. Distribution channels used are: Wholesaler and Retailer. The average number of distribution channels ranging from January 2010 - December 2014 obtained is 7.744. The change in sales volume from January 2010 - December 2014 equals to 105.306. The correlation coefficient (r) = 0.5. This shows that the relationship between the variables X (Number of Channels Distribution) with variable Y (sales volume) was moderate and positive. Based on hypothesis testing, it is known that t count = 4.395 while t table = 1.672 with α = 0.05, meaning that t count > t table and Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant relationship between the number of distribution channels or coefficient determination sales volume by 25%, while the remaining 75% are influenced by other factors. Based on linear regresion analysis was Y=535,42 + 9,45X, this shows if variable X rising 1 rupiah then the variable Y has increased was 535,42. Keywords: Distribution channels, Sales volum
