ABSTRACT FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE ELIMINATION PATTERN IN DIFFICULT TO DEFENCE IN HOSPITALIZED PATIENTS ADVENT BANDAR LAMPUNG HOSPITAL Murni Sinaga NIM:1651097 Elimination is a basic need of human life to maintain homeostasis through the disposal of metabolic waste. Many patients are treated in the hospital experiencing constipation. The purpose of this paper is to obtain information factors that can cause constipation in Advent Hospital of Bandar Lampung. The method used in this research is method observation. The population used is this study is male and female patients in the medical room Advent Hoapital Bandar Lampung, age more than 17 years, which is not a problem whit the digestive tract. The sample 67 people selected by purposive sampling. Intrument used in this research is observation form that question about pattern of elimination (defecate). The parameters measured were the pattern of elimination (defecate) before and after hospitalization. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the elimination pattern of defecate before and after hospitalization which was influenced by 6 factor : food, driks, stress , discomfort, p (0,000 < 0,05) fever p ( 0,001 < 0,05) and mobilization p (0,025 < 0,05). The result of this study will be use for next research. Keywords: Pattern of Elimination, influence of hospitalization.
