ABSTRAC MATERNAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT NUTRITIONAL NEEDS AND NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF INFANTS AT BANDAR LAMPUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL 2018 EVI LIDYA SIHITE Nim 1651093 Mother's lack of knowledge about nutrition and health is one of the causes of malnutrition in babies. At the time of toddler's nutritional status directly affects the immune system, cognitive development, growth, and stamina of the body. Nutrition is one of the important factors that determine the level of health and growing of toddler. Goal of this research is to know the level of knowledge of mother's about nutritional status towards toddlers. Research methods Deskriftif with Correlative approach of one-group pretest with pearson correlation r design. Involving moms with toddlers ages 0-5 years old that being treated at Bandar Lampung Adventist Hospital. The result obtained is the mother's knowledge about healthy food portions 54.15% whhich mean almost enough and knowledge about healthy food plate portion 14.17% were less. Toddler with excessive nutrition status is 11.6%, toddler with enough nutrition status either 78.40% and toddler with malnutrition is 10%. These results are clarified on the level of knowledge of 54.51% nearly enough and the relationships p Value 0.160. There is no meaningful relationship between the mother's knowledge about nutrition toward toddler and toddler nutrition needs who are hospitalized at Bandar Lampung Adventist Hospital year 2018. Recommendation for nurses in order to improve knowledge about the nutritional status in the period of growth and development. The existence of this research useful to the mother of toddler who is currently still in the process of growth and development in order to have better understanding of the nutrients need and often digging knowledge about nutrition for toddlers needs especially for toddlers who are being treated.
