ABSTRACT NURSING CARE ON Mr.K WITH THE DISTURBANCE OF URINAL SYSTEM: POST OPERATION BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA (BPH) POSTOPERATIVE IN BANDUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL ON WEST WING 4 DISTRICT Arranged by: Rafael Frans NIM : 1552032 Background : Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a disease that interfere with the urinary process of men. In elderly BPH patients are in need of appropriate action to anticipate, as one of the actions that will be done is with prostate surgery for further action. This disease is also included in elderly diseases where this disease can be experienced by almost all men as you get older. Prevalence in Indonesia there are 9.2 million cases of BPH, of which suffered in men aged over 60 years and estimated in general almost 50% of men in Indonesia aged over 50 years found suffering from BPH. Purpose : to know nursing care on patient post operation BPH consisting assessment, planning, implementation, and nursing evaluation. Method : descriptive method by collecting data through observation, interview, documentation, literature and study of electronic media. Results : after doing a nursing care on Mr. K with BPH, compiled five diagnoses, namely: Pain associated with bladder spasm and postoperative, urinary elimination change associated with secondary obstruction of postoperative: blood clot, high risk of infection associated with invasive procedures: tool during surgery, catheters and bladder irrigation, high risk of injury: bleeding related to the action surgery, sleep interruption disorder associated with RAS stimulation due to pain. Conclusion : on patient BPH in caring must be detail in investigation and prioritize patient’s need, and sincerity in implementation to avoid complication which perhaps happens and something to be watched on patient BPH in caring is catheter that is being used.
