ABSTRACT HEALTH PROMOTION: VIDEO TO INCREASE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WASHING TECHNIQUE ON FOOD TRADERS ALONG KOLONEL MASTURI STREET Ayu Rahayu Maria Magdalena Sijabat NIM: 1451044 Based on preliminary study results that has been done there are 15 chicken noodle and chicken noodle vendors on Kolonel Masturi Street using washing techniques using the media 1 bucket to wash the tableware even there are some just dipped it. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge about washing techniques before and after health promotion: video on food traders along Kolonel Masturi Street. The research design used was pre-experimental with one group pre-post test design. Sampling using purposive sampling method. The sample of this research as many as 30 people. Data collected by using questionnaire consisting of 22 questions that have been tested for validity and reliability, with validity value> 0,632 and reliability value 0,970. Data is calculated by the percentage and paired t-test. The calculation results show that the level of knowledge before the health promotion: the video is pretty good with the percentage of 76.06% and after the health promotion: the video is privileged with a percentage of 94.69%. The result of tcount obtained is 6,571 with 95% confidence level or p value = 0,05. The conclusion of this research is that there is a significant difference of knowledge level of washing machine between before and after health promotion: video to food trader along Kolonel Masturi Street. The results of this study suggest to conduct business health promotion research is about the relationship between knowledge with the behavior of technique of washing plate.
