STUDI FENOMENOLOGI: PENGALAMAN PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS YANG SEDANG MENJALANI PENGOBATAN OAT KATEGORI 2 DI KLINIK DOTS RUMAH SAKIT ADVENT BANDUNG

ABSTRACT PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY: PATIENT EXPERIENCE OF TUBERCULOSIS TREATMENT OF CATEGORY 2 IN KLINIK DOTS RUMAH SAKIT ADVENT BANDUNG Christina Maria Mantiri NIM : 1551078 Based on a preliminary study conducted by investigators on October 16, 2017 through interviews at the DOTS clinic head of the Advent Hospital, data on the number of patients undergoing treatment category 2 in the first quarter up to fourth quarter of 2016 as many as 6 people, while in the first quarter to quarter third of 2017 there is an increase of as many as 16 people. The results of interviews from 6 informants were 7 themes, such as: (1) individual knowledge, (2) physical change, (3) change of attitude and values during treatment, (4) individual and social stigma, (5) role of PMO, (6) The role of media in health promotion, (7) individual adaptive coping. This study was conducted to identify and explore the experiences of tuberculosis patients who are undergoing treatment of outpatient category 2 in Klinik DOTS RS Advent Bandung. This research uses qualitative research method with phenomenology approach and using the technique of purposive sampling in determining research informant. The research was conducted by indepth interview using 4 guideline questions. Advice for Klinik DOTS RS Advent Bandung, as an educational and implementation material for TB patients to optimize TB treatment program and control the emergence of MDR-TB cases. For TB patients, educational materials and information on the importance of complying with the patient's OAT treatment program. For nursing and research students as input and information materials in providing nursing care in TB patients with category 2 treatment and more involving themselves in the community as PMO (Drug Supervisor) and additional educational materials in subsequent research.
