ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND CLINICAL WORK ETHIC IN PROFESI STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA Jonrifen Yosua Hutapea NIM: 1451026 Authors in field practice often experience emotional distress caused by dense hours of practice, many tasks, sometimes unfriendly colleagues, less patient collaboration or family behavior, or feeling nervous and rushed about having to present a case that is so influential against the work ethic of the author during practice. This research was conducted to find out the relationship of emotional intelligence with work ethic of professional profession ners at Universitas Advent Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive correlation. sample used in this research is 77 professional student ners using total sampling method. relation of emotional intelligence and work ethos counted using questioner. The collected data is then calculated using the mean formula followed by the pearson product moment calculation. The result of calculation from SPSS showed that the average value of emotional intelligence of professional students of ners is 2.78 including into the high category, the average level of work ethic of professional students of ners is 3.02 included into high category with the value of emotional intelligence and work ethic (0.993)> value α (0.05) which means Ha accepted and Ho rejected. The results showed a low correlation between emotional intelligence with work practice ethics of professional field students. Key words: emotional intelligence, work ethic
