ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS THE ROLE OF SHEPHERD TO OVERCOME THE DISUNITY WITHIN THE CHURCH BASED IN 1CORINTHIANS 1:10 IN KEBUN KOPI CHURCH-JAKARTA Researcher Name : Alimson Limbong Name and Title : Master Filsafat (M.Fil) Supervisor Material : DR. Bartholomew Diaz Nainggolan,MPS. End date : 22 Mei, 2016 The name of Jesus Christ, who is sovereign in the church, contrasted with signs of group in the Corinthian church. The Apostle Paul advises:"... That ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."(1 Corinthians 1:10). Paul as the spiritual leader to remind them to do with Christ; they are brothers for Paul and for one another. The word "division" (basic word, 'division') in Greek: schim, meaning "separation into groups hostile". The divisions is always detrimental to the life and unity of the church. Leadership style of a shepherd in the congregation needed a way to express the value in his ministry, which refers to the typical approach to each member with humility. Humanly it is possible for someone shepherds take the initiative to exalt them selves for power. A true shepherd will pay attention to all matters relating to the welfare of the flock of Christ, and the need to equip themselves with great wisdom, expressed consideration gentle toward everyone, especially for those who are overwritten trials. Only Christ can heal the wounds that divide the church. The authors highlight specifically divergence in the congregation of the Church in Pondok Kopi, Jakarta Conferences, successful authors found. In the initial description as a background chronology of divisions in the church are summarized 25 items (see Chapter 1). It needs to be improved even more. But there are still 14.6% who disagree. Second, variable X2 is, result variables descriptive statistics find its total average is 4:06, or 81.2%, meaning that on average respondents agreed to the adoption of the role of shepherd's members resolve disagreements in the church by1 Corinthians 1:10. However be noted that the statement number 12; "The Church is called the support of truth but often divisions."Respondents answered 42.4 or 84.8%, meaning that the respondents agree that frequent divisions in the church, as a shepherd service evaluation. There were 15.2% who disagree. Third, variable X3 is, the results of statistical variables descriptive finding its total average is 3.75 or 75%, meaning that on average respondents agreed to the influence of the role of shepherd's members resolve disagreements in the church by1 Corinthians 1:10. But the problems found in two statement for attention: (A) In the statement number 21; "Our congregation has never experienced a split due to the impact of mistakes pastor." Respondents answered 3.25 or 65%, meaning that respondents hesitate to admit if it never happened because of the influence of the error divisions pastor. (B) In the statement number 26; "I've never experienced that pastor uttered the words that have offended members of the congregation." Respondents answered 2.93 or 58.6%, meaning that respondents undecided. Thus the members have experienced that the priest uttered the words that have hurt the church influencing the dissent in the church. Thus, respondents overall to variable Y: The Role Of Shepherd To Overcome The Dissent Within The Church Based In 1Corinthians 1:10In Kebun Kopi Church-Jakarta Konferens, finding its total average is 4.01 or 80.2%, meaning that on average the majority agrees. And there are 19.8% who answered disagreed. There are two notes: (1), That the respondent doubtfull, admitted if ever there was divisions to the impact the mistakes of a church pastors. (2), Respondents answered doubtfull, if members have never experienced that pastor uttered the words that have been offend influential members of divisions in the church.
