ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF THEOLOGY TO FIND AND SAVE THAT LOST BY LUKE 15:32 IN SEVENTHDAY ADVENTIST CHURCH DUKUH KUPANGSURABAYA, EAST JAVA CONFERENCE Researcher Name : Sihol Hutauruk, S.psi Name and Title : Supervisor : Dr. Bartholomeus Diaz Nainggolan, MPS End date : May ____ 2015 Lord Jesus was a lot to teach using parables to reach the minds of sinful mankind. Gospel of Luke contains many such parables: the lost sheep and the lost coin and then the prodigal son as in Luke 15, which is a unity in the message and purpose. As an introduction, Luke called the condemnation of the Lord Jesus raised by the Pharisees and scribes who look down on sinners and avoid any association with those who are not pious. Then the intent and purpose of the first parable is confirmed by the second so evident in the goals in the parable of the lost coin that is how diligently she was looking for; she put up a lamp and then she swept the floor until she found back. This chapter closes with a perfect conclusion to his three parables that is his attitude and his treatment of love than saying, “we should make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead and is alive again, who has lost his son to come back” (Luke 15:32). Furthermore, the word of “lost” here comes from the biblical languages (Greek) apollu ; and meaningful nenagatif but in Luke 15 found four repetitions important meaning of the word (Luke 15 : 4,6,24 and 32). Many people feel happy when listening to these parables even see how the Lord Jesus to help and save sinners. Then the church is God's appointed way for human safety. It is set for the ministry to bring the Gospel throughout the world. This is the theater of His grace which He likes to express his power to change hearts. The church is God's fortress, His city of refuge, which retained him in the world are rebelling. Something betrayal to the church is treachery to Him who has bought with the blood of man who lost his only-begotten Son. In reality though there is a lot of grazing, there are still many sheep are missing or lost. God’s will for children who are lost are found and brought into grazing at Church of God. Statistics church Hamlet Kupang as respondents in 2012 through 2014 found that there was an average of 220 inhabitants are registered as members of this church. Active in the church there are 150 souls, so that there are 70 people have separated themselves from communion with the church. (Source: See Chapter 1). With a view to the above problems then: Understanding and implementation of the mission of the church members seek and save that which was lost by Luke 15:32 “as a conclusion in the core and three goals in the parable in Luke 15, that can be analyzed through this research. Theological analysis is divided into three parts: First: Analysis of the influence of the understanding and application of the competency of the mission of the church members’ search for the missing “based on Luke 15:32 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church-Dukuh Kupang, Surabaya, East Java Conference. Second: Analysis of the influence of the understanding and application of the competence of the members of the church's mission “to save the lost” based on Luke 15:32 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church-Dukuh Kupang, Surabaya, East Java Conference. Third: Analysis of the influence of the understanding and application of the competence of the members of the church’s mission “to bring the lost back into the church” based on Luke 15:32 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church-Dukuh Kupang, Surabaya, East Java Conference. Ability competence variables influence the understanding and application of the competency of the mission of the church members’ search for the lost “(X1), namely, the influence of the understanding and application of the competence of the members of the church’s mission” to save the lost ”(X2), and the influence of the understanding and application of the competency of the mission of the church members “bring the lost back into the church” (X3) in the understanding and application of the results of the church members to factor (Y), is equal to 74% while the remaining 26% (see chapter 4). The average total value of each indicator is 3.7 or 74% means that the average correspondent agree with the quality of competence seek to save and bring the lost based on Luke 15:32 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church- Dukuh Kupang, Surabaya, East Java Conference. Thus the author can use to formulate estimates the data in this study. The results showed respondents in the understanding and implementation of the mission of the church members to seek and save that which was lost by Luke 15:32” and the reality of respondents who have not met the expectations as an answer in the average percentage is 26%.
