ABSTRACT THE CORRELATION OF WORKING CAPITAL TO SALES AT PT.ACE HARDWARE INDONESIA TBK. By: Opel Ishak Salmon Simatupang Authors conducted a this study with the purpose to find out how the working capital, to find out sales are owned by the company and to know the correlation working capital to sales at pt. Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk. The method used in this study is a description method that is study carried out by collecting, presenting, and analyzing data to obtain a clear data from a problem and at the end it can be concluded. The data were processed using a simple statistical analysis of correlation coefficients, significance, and the coefficient of determination. Based on study obtained from PT. Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk. then obtained working capital in 2007 amounted to Rp. 471 740 102 230, in 2008 amounting to Rp. 527 431 129 088, in 2009 amounting to Rp. 702 585 965 850, in 2010 amounting to Rp. 751 880 376 401, in 2011 amounting to Rp. 680 343 321 760, and in 2012 amounting to Rp. 1,010,565,586,508. Sales at PT. Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk. from 2007 until 2012 is always increase. Based on statistic analyzes, the correlation coefficient formula for determine the amount of working capital to sales correlation, the obtained r = 0.876, which show the correlation between the two variables is very strong, using a test with a significance level of 95% and n-2 degrees of freedom obtained tcalculated value = 3,633 more greater than ttable = 2,132, mean the hypothesis Ho is rejected, which means that there is a a significant correlation between the working capital to sales, test using the coefficient of determination of the obtained values of Kd = 76.7% which means that the contribution to the change in working capital amounted to 76.7% of sales.
