ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP BEETWEN THE LIFESTYLE OF STUDENTS AND OBESITY IN DORMITOR OF UNIVERSITY ADVENT INDONESIA WEST BANDUNG Oftalia Derisma NIM: 1451028 Obesity is a disease that is still often found in both developed and developing countries and lifestyle is a trigger that can affect obesity. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between lifestyle with obesity in students at the University of Advent Indonesia. This research method with quantitative descriptive method that is analytic correlation and using purposive sampling technique with 50 respondents consisting of 21 male students and 29 female students which is classified as obesity. The research instrument used to measure lifestyle consists of 20 items of validated questionnaires, weight scales and height measuring instruments. Data processing is done by using percentage calculation and using Pearson ProductMoment correlation coefficient calculated by Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that the lifestyle of students with obesity is a fairly good lifestyle. Correlation test results show there is a weak but not significant relationship between the lifestyle of students with obesity. Researchers suggest that obese students can be motivated to improve lifestyle for the better by observing diet, sleep patterns, improve sports patterns and drug usage that can cause obesity.
