ABSTRAK Topic : ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF SABBATH SCHOOL WORSHIP TOWARD THE SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH AT REGION 17 OF DKI JAKARTA CONFERENCE AND SORROUNDING BASED ON 1 TIMOTHY 6:6. Finish Date : April 2019 There are many members of Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) church was not aware anymore about the importance of Sabbath School (SS). Author had observed that the attendance in SS worship was minimum, and it occurs continually every year in the SDA church DKI Conference region 17 and surroundings. The effect is decreasing of church member spirituality because the attendance in SS program showed how active or not active the member to study the SS lesson at their home in a week. The church nowadays had increased in secularity, and it affect the worship and religious service to God. So the SS worship had become more important for the spiritual growth of the church member, because it shows obviously the true spiritual life of the church member. It is not surprise if many people think that the SS is the heart of church member spirituality. It means if the heart is weak even until not beating at all, the person is surely death, in this matter the death of spiritual growth of the church member. Because of that big matter, the author interest to examine it in one research. The limitation of this research was: First, identified that the SS worship is the communication facility of the Adventist with God to know His will. Second, identified the neglect of SS worship could make lack of spiritual life. Third, identified that the worship and personal attendance of church elder in Sabbath Scholl worship will give the good influence in spiritual grow of the church members. As theoretical basis which underlie this research was:(1) Background of 1st Timothy book: the book title; theme of 1st Timothy book, author of 1st Timothy book; the writing time of 1st Timothy book; Mainline of 1st Timothy book, (2) Hermeneutics of 1st Timothy 6:6, (3) Worship in the old Testament, (4) Worship in the New Testament, (5) SS worship. The sample population which taken is the church member in the DKI conference region 17 which include 6 church, with quantitative research method. The background of the sample including age, gender, educational background, working status, and position. Indicator for this research is: First, SS worship is the power from God, Second, Neglecting the SS worship will make the spirituality death. Third, the role of SS with church leader. After the questionnaire was distribute, and from the result that shown, we can get the conclusion as: First, variable that SS worship is the one of communication of His people with God showed the result hesitate with total 3.21 which mean the SDA church member in DKI Conference region 17 have some understanding about the SS is the way to communicate with God. Second, variable neglecting the SS program will weaken the spirituality of church member showed hesitate with total score 3.23 which mean the result told us that many of the church member feel hesitate with this thing because they also lack of understanding to see the benefit of the SS program can develop the spirituality. Third, the attendance role of the church elder in SS worship for the spiritual growth of the member showed hesitate with total score 3.1 which means the SDA member in DKI Conference region 17 about the attendance role in SS worship for the spiritual growth, they hesitate to confess it because as a church elder they could not see the participation of another church elder in SS program where it can develop the spirituality. Based on the result of the respondent above, the author gave some suggestion: First, need to inform to the church member in region 17 of DKI Conference to realize that SS worship is the one of the way for His people to communicate with God through the sermon, in the SS discussion program itself. The most important thing is to give the right understanding that the SS is the way for His people to communicate with God. Second, author will make a program to involved the church member and give the lessons about the importance of SS program to strengthen the spiritual of church member. The other thing is through the visitation of Pastor to his church member they will not neglect the importance of SS program. Third, author as a leader in the church and also the elder should realize, care and participate in SS worship and come on time so it can be affected to the church member. Because author realize that this matter should start from Pastor as a church leader.
