ABSTRACT EFFECT OF JUICE TOMATOES ON ADULT MAN HYPERCHOLESTEROLEMIA IN CIHANJUANG RAHAYU Doni Beltar Hutasoit NIM : 1651092 Hypercholesterolemia is high cholesterol levels above normal limits. High cholesterol levels in the blood can cause various diseases such as CHD, Stroke, even cause death. Hypercholesterolaemia can be prevented by pharmacological therapy either by using drugs or non-pharmacology one of them by using tomatoes. The purpose of this study was to look at the difference in total blood cholesterol before and after tomato juice. The research method used pre-post-test design without control group and statistical test using SPSS. The result of this research is total cholesterol value of respondent before consumption of tomato juice high, total cholesterol value of respondent after consumption of tomato juice 150 ml / day for 5 day down to normal, then after tested statistic there is difference of total value of cholesterol before and after tomato juice. Tomato juice research advice may be a nonpharmacological alternative in lowering blood cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolaemia.
