PENGALAMAN PARTISIPASI ORANG TUA YANG BEKERJA DI RUMAH SAKIT ADVENT BANDUNG DALAM PENCAPAIAN AKADEMIS ANAK USIA SEKOLAH (6-12 TAHUN)
XMLABSTRACT EXPERIENCES OF WORKING PARENTS AT RUMAH SAKIT ADVENT BANDUNG PARTICIPATING IN SCHOOL-AGED (6-12 YEARS) CHILDREN’S ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT Michelle Eileen Sundana NIM: 1451065 Education is an important factor that supports nation’s advancement; students who excel will be a high-quality human resources. Parents as child’s first and foremost educators had an important role in their learning process. Work that keeps the parents busy coud seize the time that should be used to guide children in learning. The purpose of this research is to gain an overview of the experience of working parents participating in school-aged children’s academic achievement. The method used in this research was the qualitative approach, as of data collection, interviews are counducted against six mothers that were selected using a purposive sampling method, mothers who have children aged school and still active in working. The result of this research showed that the participation of working parents in children's learning activities was good enough. With their limited time, various ways were done by parents in order to keep supporting children’s learning activity. Through this research, it is expected for parents to know deeper the importance of taking time to help their children in learning.
