ABSTRACT PHENOMENA OF SELF HYPERTENSION TO THEMATURE WOMAN AT KARYAWANGI VILLAGE OF PARONGPONG DISTRICT OF BANDUNG REGENCY Imanuella NIM: 1451001 Hypertension is known as the silent killerit is a condition where the systolic blood pressure is more than 120 mmHg and diastolic pressure is more than 80 mmHg. The purpose of the study is to explore the patient self-care patterns toward the hypertension, environmental patterns, family roles, coping method, and how to obtain health assistance. This study isused phenomenology qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews on seven respondents with ten semistructure questions. Using the purposive sampling both in inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study finds out ten categories: the self-physical, emotional condition, cognator, mastery experience, vicarious experience, self-concept, self-efficacy, persuasion, regulator and interdependence. In this study from each category there are some characteristics to explore the patient self-care patterns and lifestyle patterns. The suggestion for the health officer is expected to provide clear information with easy to understand language but not lost in translationby providing periodically health education.
