ABSTRACT DESCRIPTIVE STUDY OF CAREGIVER LIFE QUALITY ALZHEIMER Grace Anita Moniyung NIM: 1651079 This study is motivated by the increasing population of elderly (elderly) population in Indonesia. An elderly population is increasingly in need of special care and closely related to degerative disease that is Alzheimer Disease. Dementia cases are associated with negative effects on patients, especially caregivers. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of each domain of caregiver quality of life and picture of quality of life that care for Alzheimer's patients. The method used in this research is using a non-experimental approach quantitative. The population used in this study amounted to 23 people. The results of the study showed the general quality of life of caregiver of Alzheimer's patients including quality of life, with the percentage of 62.17%, for physical health domain with percentage value 56.65%, for psychological welfare domain with percentage value 58.55%, social relation domain with percentage value 27.95% an environment domain with a percentage value of 60.98%. The results of this study are expected as an input for the sharing group for caregiver: expected that the results of this study can be used as material for seminars and workshops. Field of nursing, is expected the results of this study will be a source of information in the development of nursing science. Field of research, this research is expected to be developed in subsequent research with qualitative methods. Keywords: Quality of Life, Caregiver, Alzheimer
