ABSTRACT THE FIRST NURSING CLINICAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCES OF LEVEL II NURSING STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA BANDUNG Canadian Z. Manabung ID: 1251049 This research is motivated by the report that the experience of the students when following the first Nursing Clinical Practice can affects the students' perceptions of the nursing profession. The purpose of this study is to get an idea of the first Nursing Clinical Practice experience level II nursing students in Universitas Advent Indonesia Bandung. The design used in this research is qualitative with phenomenology approach. The sample used are 6 students selected by purposive sampling method. Data acquisition was obtained using an in-depth interview technique with semi-structured questions. The results of this study found two categories discussed, namely: negative experiences and positive experiences. The advice given to nursing students is to prepare for the Nursing Clinical Practice based on experiences experienced by previous students, to the field of education, as information to address and prepare nursing students to deal with various conditions that exist in clinical environment such as hospital, to practice area, as input on providing a conducive clinical learning environment for nursing students and encouraging positive experiences in clinical learning in clinical settings such as hospitals, and to the field of research, to be used as data to be developed in subsequent research such as factors influencing the attainment of Nursing Clinical Practice.
