PENGALAMAN MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI SARJANA KEPERAWATAN JURUSAN S1 KEPERAWATAN DALAM PENULISAN SKRIPSI DI UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA

ABSTRACT THE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ EXPERIENCE OF THE BACHELOR OF NURSING PROGRAM MAJOR IN NURSING IN THE MINI THESIS WRITING AT UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA Jacqueline Laurent NIM: 1451002 Mini thesis is a scientific paper based on the results of field research and / or library studies prepared by university students in accordance to the field of study as a final project for formal study in Tertiary Education. The purpose of this phenomenology research is to explore the experience of university students in the making of mini thesis. This research used phenomenology qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews on five respondents with eight semistructure questions. The samples were the eighth semester of bachelor of nursing students, snowball is used to take the samples based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis stages are used to analyse the data of interview according to Colaizzi (1978). The result of this study finds out nine categories: Cognator, Physical Physiological, Adaptation, Regulator, Interdependence, Role Function, Self-Concept, Optimism, and Information. The conclusion of this study that is all university students when the questions were being asked they were confused to answer, anxious and afraid in doing the mini thesis because they do not understand how to do the mini thesis so they are not confident and have low optimistic thought. However, with the support of parents, friends and lecturers they keep working on their mini thesis because they want to graduate and do not want to make their parents disappointed. Good communication will provide adequate motivation and direction as a result it will reduce confusion, fear, anxiety when doing the mini thesis. The suggestions for the students, they have to have a high level of optimism, physically and mentally prepared to motivate themselves and believe that everyone can do the mini thesis with condition they are not lazy; To Nursing Faculty, to improve the quality of nursing education especially to the lecturers to sort out and prepare the time for coaching the student; and to the Research institution, to design a review tool that maps the students' problems in mini thesis writing process as the basis for determining mitigation actions.
