ABSTRACT ADMISSION OF MOTHERS ABOUT MEASLES RUBELLA IMMUNIZATION IN WORKING AREAS OF PARONGPONG HEALTH CENTER BANDUNG BARAT DISTRICT Arranged by: SITI AULIA HASANNAH NIM : 1551009 Measles and Rubella are contagious diseases that can lead into death but can be prevented by Measles and Rubella immunization. Indonesia has committed to eliminate measles and rubella diseases, while some of the parents refuse to immunize their children because of various reasons. The porpuse of this study was to determine the description of maternal acceptance of immunization againts Rubella Measles. A qualitative design with phenomenological approach through in-depth interview techniques was used in sample selection and 6 informants were involved in this study. The study showed that mothers’ acceptance related to MR immunization were categorized into 4 groups: knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and mothers’ beliefs in MR immunization. Conclusion: the mothers knew about MR immunization, all the mothers consideres it as unimportant action to imumunize their children, the mothers refused the immunization because they believed it contains elements or subtances which are irrelevant in their religion: Islam. Suggestion: to conduct some health promotions about MR immunization by medical staffs and educate the mothers that the substances contined in it are important to prevent diseases.
