ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF THE PHILOSOPHY THE ROLE OF THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY FOR THE SALVATION OF THE HOUSEHOLD TO GROWTH OF SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH IN WEST KALIMANTAN REGIONAL AUTHORITY BALAI KARANGAN SECTOR BY JOSHUA 24: 15 Researcher Name : Daniel Marihot Simanjuntak Name and Title : M.Fil Supervisor : End Date : ____April 2018 The Seventh-day Adventist Church believes that the family is the first place formed to restore God's image to men and women where the roles of fathers, mothers, and children can express love and intimacy and complement each other's needs. The task of introducing children to God is the duty of the father and mother, who are role models for their children in their attitude and life as children of God. Education is the process of planting and developing good things in children. Therefore, parents need to first have a good understanding of what needs to be fostered in the interests of the future of children. The challenge that is happening is the understanding of God's people will be important role of Family Head. Because in many cases the elderly mothers have abused their marital rights Parents in the household should direct the whole house to salvation, as Jarot Wijarnarko discloses that salvation already received from God, must be expressed in family, neighbors, and coworkers, even the community. God has a family rescue plan. Lack of a family head's concern for family members will have an adverse effect on his family's future. The Christian family head must be aware of this that the devil always tries to thwart God's plan through the family with problems in the home. Household issues can be dealt with and resolved properly when the Christian family prioritizes spirituality in the household. How important is the father's role as head of the family that all family members are centered on the father. Some important roles of the father as the head of the family, a father in a Christian family must be a priest to introduce his children to God and educate them to be ready for the future. GMAHK in Balai Karangan sector in West Kalimantan district, has not experienced growth, even decline due to the family that cannot maintain members of his family. Here is the data from the congregation of GMAHK in the hall of the essay, which failed to maintain the safety of the household. The purpose of this study is first, to give an understanding how the role of the head of the family as a spiritual leader is very important. Second, to give understanding to each head of the family in order to perform its function as a supporter of the spiritual growth of children. Thirdly, to know the perception of members of the GMAHK members of the West Kalimantan Regional Authority about the understanding of the family as the unit of salvation in the Bible. Fourth, to give an understanding how to implement the values of Bible teaching about the important role of the head of the family for the growth of the church. Fifth, to enable pastors to provide guidance and counseling for members of the congregation in handling family issues that can influence their spiritual growth. Sixth, to complete the final project and meet the requirements in completing the Post-Graduate program, Master of Science in Philosophy. The research was conducted at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of the West Kalimantan Authority Sector which includes four congregations, namely the Balai Karangan Church, the Bangau Church, Darok Church, Langka Church. Grid instruments Validation of Variables on the Role of the Family Head For the salvation of the whole household against the growth of the Church in the four Churches of the Sector of the House of Representatives include the Role of the Family Head in the household as the spiritual leader of Church Growth, the Function of the Head of the Family as a supporter of the spiritual growth of the children, and The family is the unit of salvation. The number of respondents who have filled out questionnaires from no 1- 18 point about 129 people. Translation of 6 profiles of respondents i.e. location, gender, age, education, occupation, and status. Analysis is needed to determine whether data analysis for testing can proceed or not. Some data analysis techniques require test requirements analysis. Variant analysis requires that data come from normally distributed populations and groups that are homogeneous. Therefore, variant analysis requires validity, reliability, normality, linearity, hypothesis and descriptive statistics. The conclusion that can be given in this study is Firstly; there is a strong relationship between the spiritual leadership of the head of the family to the growth of the church in which the congregation does not fully believe that if there are problems in the family can affect spirituality in the congregation. The average does not yet fully believe that the spiritual head of a family always carries a family in domestic worship. Second, there is a strong relationship between the function of the head of the family to the spiritual growth of the children in which the congregation has not fully believed the head of the family is a priest who influences the spiritual growth of the child and members of the congregation yet every day the family always holds morning and evening worship together. Third, there is a strong connection to understanding the concept of the family is the unit of salvation in the Bible for the salvation of the whole household in which the average member of the congregation has not yet fully convinced the Salvation of the household is part of God's plan and has not yet believed that salvation is influenced by spirituality family. Suggestions from the research include first, every head of the family given understanding of the importance of how the role of the head of the family as a spiritual leader. Second, it is given understanding for every head of the family in order to perform its function as a supporter of children's spiritual growth. Third, given a reflection or sermon to members of the Church of GMAHK West Kalimantan Regional Authority Sector about understanding of the family as a unit of salvation in the Bible. Fourth, the direction and encouragement of how to implement the values of the biblical teachings on the important role of the head of the family for the growth of the church. Fifthly, it is suggested to the pastor to provide assistance and guidance to members of the congregation in handling family issues that may affect their spiritual growth. The implication of the research is that the head of the Adventist family is still very difficult to act as the head of the family of God in a life of devout society in the customs and customs of the Dayak tribe and its customs. Most congregations are still afraid of being different from people in their villages, for fear of tradition punishment, or being excommunicated from public life. The Christian family head must be aware of this that the devil always tries to thwart God's plan through the family with problems in the home. Every Christian head of household should pay special attention to the safety of his or her own family.
