ABSTRACT FAMILY EXPERIENCE IN PROVIDING SUPPORT TO SKIZOFRENIA PATIENTS IN DISTRICT PARONGPONG DISTRICT BANDUNG BARAT Kethleen Riupassa NIM: 1451048 Schizophrenia is a disease characterized by a decrease or inability to communicate, disturbances of reality such as hallucinations and wisdom. One of the causes of schizophrenic recurrence is the lack of family support in the care of family members suffering from the disease. the results of research from pratama showed that if the family support is bad then the prevalence of patient will recurrence will get bigger (81,8%) but if patient get good family support hence prevalence of patient that do not experience relapse as much 88,9%. The purpose of this study was to explore patterns of family-provided support to patients through instrumental support, impotence support, information support and emotional support. This research uses qualitative method with in-depth interview technique. Sampling using total sampling method. Instrument research in the form of six semistruktur.Analisis question data using colaizzi method. Informants were five families who had treated patients with schizophrenia. The results of this study resulted in six categories. The researcher's suggestion for further research is the experience of Schizophrenia patients during home care with qualitative and quantitative family members.
