Title : ANALISYS OF EXEMPLARY AND TEACHING OF RELIGION TEACHER TO THE SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF ADVENTIST HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT IN JAKARTA BASED ON TITUS 2:7 Researcher : Walman Nababan Degree : Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) Advisor : DR. Alvin Hendriks Date of Completion : April 2018 This thesis begins with the background explanation of the problem of analysis of modeling and teaching of religious teachers to the spiritual growth of High School Students in Jakarta based on Titus 2:7. Exemplary and teachings of religious Teachers is an instrumental in providing growth spiritual for their students. The fear of the Lord will produce good character, because a religious Teacher who has good character, will lead every student to be like Jesus. Ellen G. White emphasizes it that “knowledge of God is the foundation of all true education and all righteous service”. This is the only protection. The purpose of this research is 1st. To get the Biblical concept of exemplary and teaching of Religion’s Teacher for their student’s spiritual growth based on the philosophy of Titus 2:7 and related verses based on expository method. 2nd. To provide a proper analysis related to the role of the religion Teacher in educating their students, particularly in Adventist High Schools in Jakarta. 3rd. A research to find out whether there’s any influence in the spiritual growth of Adventist high school student in Jakarta. In this research applied several analyses such as Description of Data, Validity Test, Reliability Test, Normality Test, Linearity Test, Hypothesis Test, and Test of Descriptive Statistic. The conclusion of this research:  The influence of exemplary and teaching of religion Teacher on the spiritual growth of high school students of Advent Jakarta based on Titus 2:7 is 71.8%.  Descriptive statistical test results of Adventist High Schools in Jakarta scoring highest to lowest respectively are Salemba Adventist High School, Makarios AHS, Kramat Pulo AHS, and Ciracas AHS.  The correlations between exemplary, honesty and sincerity of religion teacher based on the philosophy of Titus 2:7 has the score of 4.51.  The correlations between religion teacher’s teachings and the spiritual growth of students in Jakarta Adventist High schools has the score of 4,51  Exemplary, honesty and sincerity of religion teachers in Jakarta Adventist high schools has the score of 4,4. This research points out that in order to get students to become interested in reading the Bible, it is necessary to have a teacher in the subject of religion. Simple and easy to understand advice given by religion teacher is necessary for the students. The practice of Titus 2 :7 in both the teacher’s life and teaching will increase the appeal of the teacher to the students. Religion teacher needs to teach wholeheartedly by example and also in honesty. The teacher needs to show how to love and obey God, and teach the students that Christ is loving and discipline, who is also tender in character because He cares for His children and wants us parts of the body of Christ, the family of God.
